Robot Perception

How robots turn pixels and points into an understanding of the world.

Perception is how a robot turns raw sensor data (images, depth, LiDAR) into a usable model of the world: what is there, where, and what it is.

Raw pixels and points are not directly usable for decisions. Perception extracts objects, surfaces, free space and semantics.

Every robot action depends on what the robot believes it sees. Better perception directly improves navigation, grasping and safety.
