Sim-to-real robotics trains and tests robots in simulation and transfers the results to physical hardware.

Physics simulators differ from reality in dynamics, contact and sensing. Transfer methods either randomise the simulator, adapt it with real data, or adapt the policy online.

Simulation gives cheap, safe and parallel experience. Most learned locomotion results rely on it.
